Permanent Peace Movement, Lebanon
Founded in 1986 during the Lebanese civil war by university students unified by their aversion to violence, PPM works on issues related to peacebuilding, most recently, conflict resolution, arms control, child soldiers, democracy and participation, restorative justice, nonviolence, and socioeconomic rights. The mission of PPM is to foster and proliferate a culture of peace through assisting the transformation of protracted social conflict by means of dialogue, conflict resolution, education, advocacy and training.
