El Observatorio de Género Democracia y Derechos Humanos (OGDDHH), Colombia
For more than ten years, the OGDDHH has been fighting for the regeneration of rights for the women and girls affected by armed conflicts in the Colombian war-inflicted territory. The accomplishments of OGDDHH were honoured in 2005 with a National Peace Award (Premio Nacional de Paz) and awarded with the King of Spain Award for Human Rights in 2006.
The implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security is now one of the priority issues for the OGDDHH.
